What Absolute Web Development Is About

About the Founder

Absolute Web Development is run by James Richardson, a web developer with a background that bridges business, marketing, and hands-on technical work. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Business, a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, and certificates in Web Development and Desktop Publishing.

Over the years, I’ve worked in customer-facing technical roles with InMotion Hosting, contributed technical writing and support within a web hosting environment and Open Source Software, collaborated with a traditional web agency at Ciniva, and worked independently as a webmaster, serving clients from Virginia Beach to the Lansing area. That mix of education and real-world experience shapes how I work today: practical, transparent, and focused on building websites that actually serve the people who use them.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, overcharged, or locked into a web solution you didn’t fully understand, you’re not alone. That frustration is exactly why Absolute Web Development exists.

Web Development Without the Headaches

Most people don’t want to “manage” a website.
They just want one that works.

Absolute Web Development focuses on building websites that are:

  • Mobile-friendly by default
  • Lightweight and fast
  • Accessible and standards-compliant
  • Easy to maintain without ongoing dependency

No bloated builders.
No unnecessary plugins.
No mystery fees.

No Contracts. No Retainers. No Lock-In.

You don’t sign long-term contracts here.

You purchase a website, provide your content, and get a finished product you actually own.

Minor updates and reasonable support are handled without “nickel and diming” or forcing you into monthly plans.

If you need more work later, great.
If not, you’re not trapped.

What I Do (And What I Don’t)

I specialize in:

  • WordPress development done cleanly and responsibly
  • Website redesigns and performance cleanups
  • Mobile-first layouts that don’t sacrifice usability
  • SEO-friendly structure (without gimmicks or spam tactics)
  • Graphics and UI that support content, not distract from it

I don’t “nickel and dime” you:.

  • Sell bloated “agency bundles”
  • Push unnecessary services
  • Outsource your project to anonymous teams

Who This Is For

Absolute Web Development is a good fit if you:

  • Want a professional site without agency nonsense
  • Value simplicity, speed, and transparency
  • Need someone who explains things clearly
  • Prefer ownership over subscriptions

Whether you’re running a small business, church, nonprofit, or personal project, the goal is the same:

Services
Store Fronts
Church’s
